See you soon, bye bye...

probier es doch einfach aus... aus fehlern lernt man. udn keiner hier ist perfekt

That's right! Come and try
What should happen? You make a mistake? Pf, you get correct and learn from it. I have been wondered that not my complete texts are red from corrections every time

I know what you mean. After one or two series i'm out as well. Then i read my mangas, something from fitzek again or just watch a film.
Rarely i play something. Last time my controller got broken, we have removed all electric stuff and now it is an "activity center" for our daughter

I don't like audio books and i really hate these electronic books. I must have a real book in my hands. Read it with my own thoughts voice

What is that series about?
The Obsidian Series (the author ist Jennifer L. Armentrout) is written for teenagers, especially for girls. It's about Katy, a young book bloggerin, who has to move with her mother from Florida to a small town in Virginia. Her neighbors are Daemon Black and his sister. Katy and Daemon will get lovers later in the first book, at the beginnig they hate each other. Katy doesn't know that Daemon, his sister and other people are aliens. Their home planet has been destroyed and there are other hostile aliens, too. Daemon is able to move as fast as the light and he has healing powers. He has to use these powers to save Katy's live - with serious consequences to her.

It's easy stuff and from book to book more gripping to me. Book 5 released a few days ago. Sometimes I roll my eyes because of the teenager's behavior, but that's the target group and so ...

I read ebooks (is this word in English used as well?), I like it. For a long time I thought just like you, I appreciate the advantage of it in the meantime. I have no place for more books apart from special books.

Mostly I hear audio books for one reason, I can hear them by doing my housework, my day has only 24 hours.

Jennifer Armintrout? I know her. I read "Verwandlung" to "asche zu Asche" from her.
No place is nothing i can say, i have my own room full of books. You go in and nearly 10 shelves around the wall. With our movement next year the room should get bigger and more shelves

Our daughter only sleep on my stomach, so i can't do anything else than reading and in the evening we take her to bed and read for an hour before sleeping as well. Sometimes there are some other kinds of stuff to do with each other of course

We only have three rooms and one cat, so we tidy up once a week, that's enough
I always wished to have a own library, but that changed. One shelve with my loved ones and many, many books from my children, that's enough. My online library is full of books.

Three kiddos, a husband, two dogs, house and garden and some work, there is plenty of time to do and to listen good stories the same time.

I have to notice the other books of Armentrout, thank you for the mention.

Yes of course, with so much to do there isn't time to sit down and read...
Some days i wish i have an own garden instead of my library.

If you like armintrout maybe you should try kim harrison as well.

If it's ok I would like to join you. I didn't notice this thread until today, and now it already consists of so many pages, so I hope I am not too late.

I am 27 years old, and mum to the most wonderful (yessss, every parent thinks that about their kids ) little boy (born end of march 2014). We are currently working towards another baby. Ummm... We (that is my son, my husband and I) live in Berlin since August last year. I am currently completing my masters degree in biophysics and I am specializing in theoretical/computational biophysics, and will start working on my own project in september/october this year in a theoretical physics group. I am excited about and very much looking forward to that experience. It really is time for me to finally finish my degree... I was unable to work towards my degree for some years due to health reasons, but now that I am well again I can't wait to finally finish my degree, because after all those years (including those years, when I was on sick leave) and one unfinished degree and switch to a new subject I am finally ready for a change and wish to escape the musty old university walls. However that's not going to happen quite so soon.
My son loves his day care center, and my husband is currently interviewing for a new job, since the current one has always been a temporary thing from his side, and he is looking for something more fulfilling and financially more rewarding.

I know this is totally OT, but we need every prayer at the moment. Since Saturday a town in northern Alberta is fighting a wild fire. Since Tuesday morning it turned to the worst. The fire was approaching city limits. The whole city is under evac. Houses have been lost already and if they can't get the fire under control soon, the whole city will burn down. We are talking around 70 thousand people loosing their homes, loosing everything.
We are hoping for rain, lots of rain but weather forecast is not on our side. There are friends of mine, a really good friend with her kids and her husband and several co workers from my husband. I didn't know that my friend is up there, just found out about half an hour ago.

So please, pray for them!

Here is a link where you can read more about it. It's so horrifying

Hi everyone, I'd love to join you, too.
I'm 33 years old and I have two lovely kids, living with my husband and me in pretty North Rhine-Westphalia.
I'm an English teacher at a grammar school, teaching classes 5-12 and I have spent some time abroad, especially in the US during my high school time and my English studies.

Hello and welcome
Another teacher in our group, wonderful

I have a question; is it difficult to be a teacher in your freetime? I would like to know if it's hard when the children aren't as good as you wish (okay, yours aren't old enough for that question i think but maybe other teachers here could answer it)

Do you mean behavior or learning? I am actually more patient than I would probably be if I wouldn't be in the materia... as I see how good and smart my own children are. And I know how hard it is to learn how to read, as an example. Is it this what you mean?
