Oh my goodness
I can't take a look of the picture.
I've never seen such a blue (!) hairy spider.

Ah, that's a kind of tarantula or bird spider.
My brother has one too, but up to now I didn't get a chance to see it.

I like spiders, but I'm not the biggest fan of keeping them as pets. The same with snakes.
Did I mention that I'm phobic when it comes to snakes? So no pictures without warning please. I always scream when I see pictures of snakes, not to mention what happens when I see REAL snakes.

that reminds me of an encounter with a cockroach back in 1998 during my australian exchange.

sitting on sofa, watching tv and this ugly cockroach is trying do climb on my knee

I hate anything crawly. That's why I could not live in certain parts of the world. Even here, if you live in the country, you could come across scorpions and rattle snakes. I would run for my husband if I saw one. For spiders in the house, I get out the vacuum if my husband isn't home.

About 10 years ago I had a close encounter with a very colourful and harmless snake in Tansania. I screamed the hell out of my lungs and was almost fainting. The snake wouldn't move though. It was laying across the path I had to go. Someone had to lift me up and carry me, because I couldn't move, I was simply paralyzed in fear

Spiders are awful, I'm sure I will have nightmares this evening ... that's one of the reasons why I can't keep cool at summer, we have lots of these horrible animals outside in the trees or in our house ... and sometimes my husband doesn't kill them -.-

Es müsste heißen: I didn't (or did not) think about it.

I have encountered cobras, ratsnakes and various different types of vipers. We get loads of bugs here. I hate cockroaches and I don't like centipedes. The spiders... well they are the size of my hand...
I have only seen dead scorpions on the road (except for the tailless whip scorpion in my bathroom). But believe it or not... you overcone the fear with time.
